A Pulaski County woman is the winner of a Houseboat Vacation on Lake Cumberland.

Christine Dudley of Somerset will receive a Houseboat Vacation package valued at up to $3,500, including a $200 fuel allowance, from Conley Bottom Resort Marina as the grand-prize winner of The Center for Rural Development’s regional fund-raising campaign to support Rogers Scholars.

U.S. Congressman Harold “Hal” Rogers (KY-05) drew the winning ticket Friday while stopping by The Center to visit with the second graduating class of the 2013 Rogers Scholars.

All of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to support Rogers Scholars and the youth of Southern and Eastern Kentucky.

“We are extremely grateful for Conley Bottom’s support,” said Delaney Stephens, community liaison and youth programs coordinator. “The Center also wants to thank everyone who purchased houseboat tickets that help fund the Rogers Scholars program.”

The value of the vacation prize is subject to seasonal rates, and is considered taxable income to the winner, which will be reported to the U.S. Government and the winner on Form 1099. Exemption Number EXE0001356 has been assigned to The Center for Rural Development for this and other fundraising efforts.
