Day one of our fifth Rogers Explorers camp of the summer!

Ninth grade students are spending three days on the campus of the Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky.

When the students arrived on campus this afternoon, they participated in getting-to-know-you activities and games facilitated by the Students Ambassadors at Union College. They had fun getting to know their fellow Rogers Explorers.

After some fun games and dinner with friends, our students completed a community service project. Rogers Explorers builts beehives to donate to local beekeepers. Explorers learned that their service and donation can help with the death and extinction of bees. Our students have a passion for community service and are very active in their own communities.

Our Rogers Explorers ended their busy day with some delicious shaved ice together. Thank you to CRAVE Gourmet Shaved Ice in Barbourville, Kentucky, for their generous donation and a wonderful experience!

We can’t wait for more!
