For her community service project, 2019 Rogers Scholars graduate and Morgan County High School student Sarah Wagers, left, donated toys to children of therapeutic rehabilitation clients of Pathways Inc.
“It was very rewarding to be a part of this project, because I got to give back to my community,” said Wagers, a high school junior. “In addition, this project served underprivileged children; it is my belief that all children should have a happy Christmas.”
Chassidy Ison, outpatient coordinator for Pathways and coordinator of the project, said Sarah represented herself, her school, community, and the Rogers Scholars program “with grace, class, and ambition we hope to see in the generation of future leaders.”
Sarah is the daughter of Michael Wagers and Angela Keaton of Hazel Green.
