2019 Rogers Scholar Dylan Adams, a Menifee County High School Beta Club member, Bethel Baptist Church member, and Operation Christmas Child (OCC) volunteer, stands outside the OCC processing plant in Charlotte, N.C.
Adams assisted in the shoebox ministry in Menifee County for his Rogers Scholars community service project. He worked closely with the Beta Club and Bethel Baptist Church to assist with packaging, loading, and shipping nearly 1,000 shoeboxes donated by school and church leaders.
“The Operation Christmas Child project was life-changing,” he said. “I used my strengths for something greater than myself. I would definitely go back to the processing center given the opportunity.”
Dylan is the son of Stephanie Rhodes of Frenchburg.
