2019 Rogers Scholar and Corbin High School student Nancy Jane Jackson partnered with Corbin schools, Immanuel Baptist Church, Central Baptist Church, and Upward basketball to organize “Kicks for A Cause” to outfit Upward basketball players with a donated pair of new or gently used shoes.

“Everything about this project was amazing. Not only did it open my eyes to just how giving my community is, it gave me the opportunity to get to know each player closely through just the size of their shoes,” she said. “I am so glad that I was able to not just provide children with shoes, but also hopefully make an impact on the rest of their lives through my town’s generosity and love of Jesus.”

Nancy Jane is the daughter of Brent Jackson and Jenni Lou Jackson.
