2020 Rogers Scholar and Russell County High School student Baylee Hart donated proceeds from the sale of T-shirts to God’s Food Pantry for her community service project.

Everyone who purchased “Find Joy in the Journey” T-shirts were helping to support families in need during the Thanksgiving holidays. She donated $525 from the sale of T-shirts and a local business donation to help buy food for the pantry.

“This project meant very much to me in the sense that I would be helping those in my community during one of my favorite holidays,” she said. “I have been very blessed with an abundant supply of love from my community and getting to give back to it meant the world to me.”

Each graduate of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program is required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
