The Adair County High School student delivered Christmas stockings filled with personal care items, a word book, and writing instruments to the adult day health care center.
“In years’ past, I have done projects with the adults in this facility,” she said. “These people are the sweetest, kindest, and the absolute best storytellers. They love puzzles and word finds and for anyone to sit and talk with them. I wanted to make sure they were not forgotten.”
Each graduate of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program is required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
