2020 Rogers Scholar and Magoffin County High School student Kaden Bowling lends a helping hand to those in need. For his community service project, Kaden helped make repairs to a storm-damaged home, shoveled snow from the hospital’s helipad to ensure medical helicopters could land safely and delivered propane tanks to residents without electricity during the 2021 snow and ice storm.

“I never realized how good it made me feel to give back to my community and assist those who needed help during difficult times. I look forward to helping others in the future with more projects like these and I will remember these opportunities forever.”

Each graduate of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program is required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
