2020 Rogers Scholar and West Jessamine High School student Hogan Price, in partnership with the school’s Sources of Strength Club, organized a postcard campaign to spread a little kindness to students isolated at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He sent postcards with encouraging messages to more than 400 virtual students in observance of Kindness Week, held earlier this year in February.

“I feel proud that I was able to support this postcard campaign to provide an uplifting message to my fellow students who were isolated due to virtual school. It inspires me to want to make a positive impact within my school and encourage healthy behaviors and mental wellness, especially during such a stressful time with the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Each graduate of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program is required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
