2020 Rogers Scholar and Owsley County High School student Ryan Ratliff helped clean and rebuild homes and buildings damaged by a flood earlier this year in his community.

“There are no words to describe how good it felt to help get my community back up and running after such a tragedy.”

Assisting with the rebuilding efforts were the Owsley County FFA (Future Farmers of America), Owsley County Action Team, and Vincent Fire Department.

Each graduate of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program is required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
