In preparation for the tourist season, 2020 Rogers Scholar and Green County High School student Taylor Bishop picked up litter and debris at the Tebbs Bend Nature Preserve.

“This project meant a lot to me, because it allowed me to help out in a local area that pertains to my community’s tourist economy. In the course of three or so hours, I spent time cleaning up trails throughout the preserve.”

Each graduate of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program is required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
