2020 Rogers Scholar and Clinton County High School student Ben Tallent helped keep the lawns of his neighbors looking good this summer by offering a free lawn-mowing service to senior adults and those in need.

“The feeling you get when you see the relief on someone’s face when you say you are mowing their yard for free, is really priceless. The people I helped were so appreciate of my service, and it really meant a lot to me to be able to use a skill I learned from my father to help financially struggling members of the community.”

Each graduate of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program is required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
