2021 Rogers Scholar Caroline Richmond, a student at McCreary Central High School, delivered care packages filled with items donated by local businesses to Bethany House domestic abuse shelter.

The community service project, called “Fearfully and Wonderfully,” was inspired by Psalm 139:14 and a reminder to domestic abuse survivors they are loved, valued, and wanted by God.

“The women I donated to emulate strength in every sense of the word. I am inspired by the courage it takes for them to seek a better life.”

Graduates of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program are required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
