2021 Rogers Scholar and Garrard County High School student Kylee Tudor organized clean-up projects for Robison, Cartersville and Paint Lick cemeteries. Volunteers helped to pick up trash, debris, and discarded old flowers or floral arrangements.

“This project was very important to me, because I felt that it was a way to honor the members of my community that are no longer with us, but also a way to honor their families who still represent them. I hope that volunteering in my community will push the kids that are my age to help out and support our community whenever they get the chance.”

Graduates of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program are required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
