2021 Rogers Scholar and Pulaski County High School student Sawyer Gambill donated non-perishable food items and water to God’s Food Pantry for his community service project.
“The meaning behind this project is to help the people in my community obviously, but I chose it because I drive past people struggling every day. I know I can’t come in and turn these people’s lives around, but at least I know that I’m able to feed them. This will hopefully help them enough to be able to get off the streets.”
Graduates of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program are required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
