Music has meant so much to 2022 Rogers Scholar and Clinton County High School student Akira Nagel that she wanted to give back to younger students.

Akira decided to give private music lessons at no charge to middle school band students for her community service project.

“Music has impacted my life in a positive way. I wanted to share my knowledge with the younger generation in hopes of keeping the music alive.”

Graduates of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program are required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
