2022 Rogers Scholar and East Carter High School student Jennifer Nguyen organized a community food drive for Carter County Family Resource Center to help feed middle school students and their families during the summer break.
She set up donation stations in Morehead and Grayson and provided a list of critically needed items.
“This project was very meaningful to me, because I have served as a volunteer for the resource center for many years. Being able to see the impact of this project in my own community has been incredible.” Graduates of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program are required to complete a community service project.
