2022 Rogers Scholar and Clay County High School student Kylee Roberts called on her friends to help with a park cleanup project.

Members from various school sports teams picked up more than 10 bags of trash in and around Rawlings Stinson Park. The City of Manchester, including Mayor Steve Collins, also pitched in to help.

“I was born and raised in Manchester, and it made me proud to be able to keep my hometown safe and clean. Furthermore, the city park is a focal point of our town and cleaning it up was my way of contributing to the community.”

Graduates of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program are required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
