2022 Rogers Scholar and Russell County High School student Lincoln Helm prepared and served a hot meal to flood victims in Knott County.

With the help of family, friends, and community donations, Lincoln was able to feed 300 people in the wake of the devastating Eastern Kentucky floods.

“This project meant a lot to me. I was extremely happy to help out the families affected by this disaster.”

Graduates of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program are required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
