2022 Rogers Scholar Blair Corbin organized a Hygiene for Hope campaign to support Green County High School students for her community service project.
She spent $231 collected in a school fundraiser to purchase various personal care items. Students also donated hair care products, soaps, deodorants, toothbrushes, and other hygiene items. All the purchased and donated items were given to the school’s family resource center to distribute to students in need.
“It makes my heart happy to know that I can help. I hope this community service project will continue and inspire others to contribute as well.”
Graduates of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program are required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
