2020 Rogers Scholar Coleman Boling of Metcalfe County prepares Easter bags for children in foster care or have been placed in the care of family members due to neglect or abuse.

The Metcalfe County High School student has made special deliveries to approximately 60 local children in foster care during each of the last six major holidays.

“This project has meant a lot to me seeing how excited I make these kids when I bring them goodie bags. I look forward to brightening their day.”

Each graduate of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program is required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
