2022 Rogers Scholar Macie Hendrickson organized a Bulldog Field Day for Bell County special-needs students for her community service project.

Macie, a student at Bell County High School, partnered with the Gear Up student leadership team and Bell Central administrators and staff to plan activities for the students.

“This project brought me so much joy. These students mean so much to me and seeing them happy made me happy. I am blessed to be a part of these students’ lives.”

Graduates of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program are required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
