2022 Rogers Scholar Raelan Rose donated her time and supplies to the Wolfe County Animal Shelter for her community service project.

Raelan, a student at Wolfe County High School, volunteered to help walk the dogs and donated dog food and treats.

“This project meant a lot to me, because of my love for animals. I’ve been wanting to come and contribute to the animal shelter for many years, and this has been a perfect opportunity to start.”

Graduates of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program are required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
