2022 Rogers Scholar Trey Jackson is giving back to the community and residents of Laurel Heights Nursing Home.

Trey, a student at South Laurel High School, delivered blankets, cleaning supplies, candies, and bird houses to nursing home residents for his community service project.

“This project was incredibly special to me as I was able to give back to community members in need and show them care and love. Oftentimes, nursing home residents are overlooked, and it meant a lot that I was able to help them in a small way.”

Graduates of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program are required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
