2022 Rogers Scholar and Pulaski County High School student Allie Elise Baird donated items to residents of the Somerwoods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for her community service project.

“Donating items to the Somerwoods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center meant a lot to me. It was a personal project that allowed me to directly make a difference in the lives of the residents. Seeing the joy and gratitude on their faces as they received the donated items from all over the community filled my heart with warmth and a deep sense of fulfillment.”

Graduates of The Center for Rural Development’s Rogers Scholars program are required to complete a community service project. For more information about Rogers Scholars, visit www.centeryouthprograms.com.
